EU: Forecast for rapeseed yield in the EU is raised

Oil World's analysts raised their forecast for rapeseed yield in the EU countries for 2017-2018 by 0.4 million tonnes up to 21.4 million tonnes - a second minimal result for the last four months.

Forecasts for Germany are up to 4.93 million tonnes (4.62) and France to 4.77 million tonnes (4.72). Yield will be larger in Poland and the UK. So the crop will increase as a result of the yield growth of 5 - 6%.

In 2017 – 2018 rapeseed import into the EU will drop to 3.9 million tonnes, given the record 4.4 million tonnes in the current season. 2.2 million tonnes of rapeseed (2.7) will be exported to the EU from Australia and 0.3 million tonnes (0.65) from Canada and from Ukraine - 1.35 million tonnes of rapeseed (0.93).
