Its results are very optimistic, which already affects the import of vegetable oils in the country.
During the period March - May 2017, import of the three key oils in South Africa decreased by 17% compared to the previous year down to 181,000 tonnes (217,000), incl. soybean oil 28,000 tonnes (51,000). Out of this amount 18,000 tonnes were delivered by the EU (31,000) and 10,000 tonnes by Argentina (20,000)
Sunflower oil import to South Africa reached 34,000 tonnes (39,000), and that of palm oil 119,000 tonnes (127,000).
