- During the week of January 18-24, 71,000 tons of sunseed oil were exported from Russian seaports. The largest importers of Russian sunseed oil were Iran, Turkey and Lebanon.
- For the week of January 18-24, 401,702 tons of grains were exported from the Russian port of Novorossiysk, which is 33.6% more than the previous week, but 16.8% less than last year. 374,202 tons of wheat (+24.5% and -22.5%) and 27,500 tons of barley were exported.
- According to APC - Inform, 8.8 million tons of corn were exported from Ukraine for the period October - December 2020/21, which is 8% less than the previous year - 9.5 million tons. The largest buyer is China with 3.6 million tons, followed by the EU with 2.7 million tons and Egypt with 900,400 tons. The export potential of the country is estimated at 22 million tons compared to 28.7 million tons in 2019/20.
- In 2020, Ukraine produced 233,880 tons of unrefined soyoil, which is 20.3% less than in 2019. The production of unrefined sunseed oil was 5.9 million tons (+3.6%).
- According to the Australian Bureau of Statistics, 234,300 tons of canola were exported from the Australia in Nov 2020 compared to only 1,500 tons a month earlier. The main buyers were Germany with 131,500 tons and China with 93,100 tons.
- Since the beginning of January, exports of palm oil from Malaysia have decreased to 872,700 tons (-31.5% compared to December) according to AmSpec Agri Malaysia. In Dec 2020, exports reached 1.7 million tons (+20.35%).
- On Jan 22, 2021, Saudi Arabia purchased 660,000 tons of feed barley of any origin and delivery in the period of 15.03 - 15.04.2021 and price of 277.65 USD/ton C&F.
- On 22.01.2021, Turkey bought only 95,000 tons of red milling wheat 12.5% of any origin and delivery within 29.01 - 26.02.2021. Initially, deals were made for 400,000 tons of wheat, but later on the contracts with the highest prices were rejected.
- On 22.01.2021, Tunisia bought 92,000 tons of durum wheat, 92,000 tons of soft wheat and 100,000 tons of feed barley with delivery in February - March.
