On 16.08.2017 the state owned Egyptian company GASC purchased 355,000 tonnes Russian (295,000) and Ukrainian (60,000) wheat with delivery 20th – 30th September 2017.
The high grain crops in Russia caused the constant growth of the crop forecasts. The last estimates are at the level of the record high from 2016 – 120.7 million tonnes.
In 2017 – 2018, 1.444 million tonnes of wheat were exported from Great Britain. By 49.5% less than 2015 – 2016 and is the weakest export season for the last three years.
Jordan announced a tender for the purchase of 100,000 tonnes of hard milling wheat. A tender for the purchase of 100,000 \tonnes of feed barley is announced as well.
