For the period January - March 2017г. 2.78 mln. tonnes of grain have been imported to Spain, by 35% less compared to the previous year, according to the country's Ministry of Agriculture.
Argentina's Ministry of Agriculture published its first forecast for corn and soybean yields in the current season as well as for the areas under wheat cultivation in 2017 – 2018.
From the beginning of the current season - October, 2016 486 700 tonnes of wheat were imported to the South African Republic, by 60% less compared to the same period last year, according to SAGIS.
From the beginning of the current season (July 1st, 2016) until May 23rd, 2017 21.8 mln. tonnes of soft wheat were exported from the EU incl. 4.3 mln. tonnes of French wheat, by 21% less compared to the same period last year.
On May 23rd, 2017, Jordan cancelled an auction for the purchase of 100 000 tonnes of hard milling wheat of optional origin, for October - November shipment. New auction was announced.
For the first 41 weeks of the current season the grain export from Canada has reached 33.6 mln. tonnes which is the same level as last year, according to the Canadian Grain Commission.
