According to latest data of USDA, As of 01.10.2017 sowing of winter wheat in the US lags behind schedule. Currently 36% of the planned areas are sown at 41% a year earlier at 43% at an average for the last 5 years.
In August 2017 France exported 1.374 million tonnes of soft wheat, which is 19.4% more than July and 52.5% more than August 2016. For Algeria have been exported 535,720 tonnes of wheat (+270%).
According to preliminary data of Rusagrotrans, the record 5.1 million tonnes of grain were exported from Russia in September, incl. 4.2 million tonnes of wheat, 550,000 tonnes of barley and 320,000 tonnes of corn.
According to latest USDA forecast, at the end of 2017 – 2018 corn stocks in China will amount to 79.2 million tonnes. That is 40% of the global stocks, but there is a 28% decline compared to last year.
As of October 2, 2017 harvest in Russia is completed on 41.8 million hectares under grain crops cultivation, 125.6 million tonnes of grain are harvested (111.7 million tonnes a year earlier) at average yield 3.0 mt/ha(2.6). Wheat harvested amounts to 84.7 million tonnes (75.2).
According to the Minsitry of Agriculture of Ukraine in 2017 sunflower crop in the country will be 11.8 million tonnes (USDA - 14 million tonnes), that of soybean - 3.9 million tonnes (USDA - 4.6 million tonnes).
