Japanese Ministry of Agriculture has announced a regular auction for the purchase of 146,455 tons of milling wheat from the USA and Canada to be delivered between April 21 and June 20, 2017.
In the current season (October - January 2016 – 2017), India is reducing oilseed oil purchases by 21% versus the same period of the previous year from 4.39 mln tons to 3.49 mln tons.
Oil World reported that, in January 2017, the three key rapeseed exporters in the world exported 0.73 mln tons more than January 2016. Export reached 1.84 mln tons.
The government of Zimbabwe has created a 140-million USD reserve for the purchase of corn from farmers with the aim of establishing strategic stocks. These stocks are currently below 250,000 tons, which is 50% of the optimal level.
