In its November report, USDA raised its forecast for global soybean production in 2017/18 by 1 million tonnes compared to the September estimate to 248.88 million tonnes, by 2.37 million tonnes less than 2016/17.

In its September report USDA lowered its forecast on global corn production in 2017-2018 by 1 million tonnes compared to the August forecast to 1.032 billion tonnes and given 1.071 billion tonnes in 2016 – 201.
According to the September report of USDA, global production of soybean in 2017 – 2018 will reach 348.4 million tonnes by 1 million tonnes over the August forecast but by 3 million tonnes below the 2016-2017 figure.
