On Wednesday soybeans price in Chicago rose significantly followed by wheat. Corn remained unchanged. In Paris rapeseed and wheat went up and corn remained unchanged.
In its September report USDA raised global wheat production in 2017 – 2018 up to 744.8 м million tonnes (+1 million tonnes compared to the previos forecast and by -8.5 million tonnes compared to the previous year.)
In its September report USDA lowered its forecast on global corn production in 2017-2018 by 1 million tonnes compared to the August forecast to 1.032 billion tonnes and given 1.071 billion tonnes in 2016 – 201.
According to the September report of USDA, global production of soybean in 2017 – 2018 will reach 348.4 million tonnes by 1 million tonnes over the August forecast but by 3 million tonnes below the 2016-2017 figure.
In August, wheat export from Ukraine and Russia to countries in Asia reached a record level of 2.524 million tonnes at 2.079 million tonnes in August last year. The share of export to these countries reaches 40% of the total export.
On Tuesday wheat price in Chicago went up after the information from the September report of USDA. At the same time corn and soybeans prices dropped. In Paris prices moved in both directions with the rapeseed marking the biggest variation– upwards.
