As of October 2, 2017 harvest in Russia is completed on 41.8 million hectares under grain crops cultivation, 125.6 million tonnes of grain are harvested (111.7 million tonnes a year earlier) at average yield 3.0 mt/ha(2.6). Wheat harvested amounts to 84.7 million tonnes (75.2).
According to the Minsitry of Agriculture of Ukraine in 2017 sunflower crop in the country will be 11.8 million tonnes (USDA - 14 million tonnes), that of soybean - 3.9 million tonnes (USDA - 4.6 million tonnes).
According to renewed forecast of APK-Inform, in 2017 sunflower crop in Ukraine will amount to 13.8 million tonnes, below the previous estimate of 14 million tonnes and the 2016 crop – 14.9 million tonnes.
As of September 1, 2017 sunflower stocks in Ukraine amounted to 672,000 tonnes. In 2016 crop was at record high – 13.63 million tonnes, and in 2015 – 11.18 million tonnes.
From the beginning of the current marketing year until September 25, 2017 1.32 million tonnes of oil crops are exported from Ukraine at 0.76 мmillion tonnes a year earlier
According to FAS USDA, in the current season, corn crop in SAR is estimated at 17.1 million tonnes, by 109% more than 2015 – 2016 – 8.2 million tonnes.
