Grain stocks in Russia were 35.247 mln tons on February 17, 2017, which was 11.3% more than the February 1, 2017 amount or +3.587 mln tons, Rossat reported.
On 17.02.2017 Egypt bought 360,000 tons of Russian, Ukrainian and Romanian wheat to be delivered between March 16 and March 26 at FOB 195.0 – 197.0 USD/ton.
Indian farmers will harvest 271.98 mln tons of grain in the new season. The result will be higher than the previous record of 265.04 mln tons set in 2013 – 2014. The forecast comes from the country’s Ministry of Agriculture.
93,425 tons of wheat were exported from Great Britain in December 2016, which has been the lowest monthly level since the beginning of 2016 – 2017, although it is much higher than the export in December 2015.
On February 14, 2017, Jordan cancelled an auction for the purchase of 25,000 tons of milling wheat. An auction for the purchase of 100,000 tons of milling wheat will be carried out on February 21, 2017.
