Wheat yield in Canada will be 29.1 mln tons in 2017 - 2018, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada reports. Yield will be 2.6 lower than last year, but still this will be the fourth highest yield in the past 20 years.
1.394 mln tons of wheat were exported from Varna Port between the start of the current season and January 22, 2017 which is a 15.5% increase on the corresponding period of the previous season. Bulgaria’s total wheat export for the period was 3.324 mln tons.
APK – Inform reports that 681,400 tons of grain were exported from Russian sea ports between January 20 and January 26 compared with 423,700 tons a week earlier. 535,800 tons of wheat, 125,800 tons of corn and 19,800 tons of barley were exported.

Canadian Grain Commission aanounced that, during the current season, Canadian wheat export keeps below the average level for the past five years. 8.436 mln tons of wheat have been exported from Canada for the first 25 weeks of the season compared with 8.12 mln tons in the previous year and the average of 7.28 mln tons for the past five years.
Grain export from Russia may go down to 2.3 – 2.4 mln tons in February 2017 compared with 2.75 mln tons in Fabruary 2016, RusAgroTrans predicts. Preliminary data shows export was 2.45 mln tons, but levels are expected to drop.
In the week between January 13 and January 19, export wheat sales from the USA turned out to be the highest since the start of the season despite low expectations by analysts - 200 – 525,000 tons.
