Export of soybeans and soybean oil from Brazil rises

According to Oil World, in July 2017, 6.95 million tonnes of soybeans were exported from Brazil, at 5.78 million tonnes in July 2016.

It is noted that during the month, export is hampered by the logistic problems in the state of Mato Grosso and the overloaded ports of the country.

In July, the major buyers of Brazilian soybean were China 5.3 million tonnes (4.14), Iran 257,000 tonnes (82,000), Taiwan 134,000 tonnes (81,000), the EU 527,000 tonnes (706,000), and Pakistan 88,000 tonnes (102,000).

In July, soybean oil export from Brazil increased to 151,000 tonnes (69,000), including to India 95,000 tonnes (31,000) and Bangladesh 31,000 tonnes (5,000).

Export of soybean meal in July reached 1.15 million tonnes (1.38), incl. South Korea to 66,000 tonnes (149,000), Iran 19,000 tonnes (59,000), EU 809,000 tonnes (612,000).

At the end of July, soybean stocks in Brazil exceeded 12-13 million tonnes compared to stocks from the previous year. The high stocks level allows the country to be an active exporter by the very end of the season.
