- The areas sown with barley will be 1.73 million hectares (-12%) and rapeseed areas will reach 990,000 hectares (-11%) and for the first time in the last 6 years will not be over 1 million hectares.
- For the second month in a row, FranceAgriMer reduced its forecast for wheat exports from France in 2020/21 to 13,302 million tons, which is 80,000 tons below the level of March and 36.7% less than 2019/20. Exports outside the EU are projected at 7.55 million tons (+100,000 tons and -44.2%).
- Yesterday, commodity funds in Chicago were net buyers of 15,000 contracts of corn, 5,000 contracts of soybeans and 2,500 contracts of wheat.
- According to Oil World, soybean imports to Argentina were 886,000 tons in March compared to 758,000 tons in March 2020. Deliveries from Paraguay were 855,000 tons. Over the period of January - March, deliveries were 967,000 tons compared to 1.4 million tons for the same period in 2020 and 2.1 million tons in 2019.
- According to SEA, in March, India increased palm oil imports by 57% with reduced purchases of sunseed oil. Oil imports in India during March reached:
- palm oil - 526,400 tons
- sunseed oil - 146,900 tons (-50%)
- soyoil - 284,200 tons (+3%)
- The South Korean MFG purchased 66,000 tons of feed wheat of any origin at a price of 269.30 USD/ton C&F + 1.5 USD/ton for unloading.
- According to Oil World, palm oil exports from Malaysia reached 1.18 million tons in March, which is 31.7% more than in February. Palm oil exports from Malaysia:
- India - 230,000 tons (9,000 tons in March 2020)
- Iran - 85,000 tons (13,000)
- Turkey - 82,000 tons (59,000)
- China - 73,000 tons (148,000)
- the EU - 158,000 tons (194,000)
- Saudi Arabia - 16,000 tons (40,000)

In the first quarter of the year, total palm oil exports reached 3.02 million tons (-13.2%).
