In the Chinese province of Henan, precipitation has fallen 4 times more than the norm for the last 10 days. The region is the largest producer of wheat in China with a share of 27%.

- There are 1.5 million tons of Ukrainian production blocked in the Ukrainian port of Pivdenny, which cannot be exported due to Russia's actions.

- Chicago commodity funds were net sellers of 3,000 corn, 3,500 soybeans and 1,000 wheat contracts yesterday.

- According to Anec's forecast, 15.1 million tons of soybeans will be exported from Brazil in May, which is 0.8 million tons less than the previous estimate. It is noted that the final results may be significantly below the forecast. In April, the export was 13.9 million tons, and in May 2022 – 10.3 million tons. Exports of soymeal are projected at 2.2 million tons (-0.3), corn exports are estimated at 437,300 tons and wheat exports are expected at 151,100 tons.

- Brazil will export 178,800 tons of soybeans to the United States given the price difference between the two countries. They will be received in the United States by 06/11/2023.

- According to data from AgriCensus, Argentina and China have agreed on a new protocol for the delivery of Argentine corn to the Asian country. The agreements enter into force from 30.05.2023.

In the EU, a ban has been passed on the import of palm oil from producers, where forests have recently been removed and converted into plantations. These are mostly small producers who are now unable to sell their production.

- On 31/05/2023, palm oil prices in Malaysia dropped significantly. Reasons for the drop are the price dynamics of the global oil market, the weak performance of oil, the drop in oil exports from Malaysia in May by 0.8% and the growth of 20-30% in palm oil production during the month.

- On 02.06.2023, Saudi Arabia will hold a tender for the purchase of 480,000 tons of wheat with September-October delivery.
