The USA exported 18.192 mln tons of corn in the first four months of the season, which started in September; this is a 76% increase on the same period of the previous season.
The Ministry of Agriculture of China projected lower corn surplus in the country in the current season reducing it from 5.11 mln tons to 4.41 mln tons as a result of the rising domestic demand.
239,400 tons of corn and 458,700 tons of barley were exported from France in December 2016. Corn export decreased by 18.4% compared with December 2015, but barley export increased by 8%.
Spanish analysts working for Agroinfomarket Agency project lower wheat yield in Spain in 2017 down to 6.07 mln tons upon 6.71 mln tons in 2016 including durum yield down to 932,000 tons from 989,000 tons.
