From the beginning of the current season - October, 2016 486 700 tonnes of wheat were imported to the South African Republic, by 60% less compared to the same period last year, according to SAGIS.
From the beginning of the current season (July 1st, 2016) until May 23rd, 2017 21.8 mln. tonnes of soft wheat were exported from the EU incl. 4.3 mln. tonnes of French wheat, by 21% less compared to the same period last year.
On May 23rd, 2017, Jordan cancelled an auction for the purchase of 100 000 tonnes of hard milling wheat of optional origin, for October - November shipment. New auction was announced.
