On 6.04.2017 Algeria announced an auction for the purchase of at least 50,000 tons of random origin and June delivery. In the previous auction on15.03.2017, 480,000 tons of wheat was bought at 204 – 206 USD/ton C&F.
Russia’s Ministry of Agriculture decreased its forecast on grain export from the country in the current Marketing Year. It is now expected that export will reach last year’s level of 33.9 mln tons. The previous forecast stated 37 mln tons.
Jordan has announced an auction for the purchase of 100,000 tons of milling wheat to be delivered in October or November. An auction for the purchase of 100,000 tons of barley fodder ahs been announced too, to be delivered in May or June.
Weekly export sales of American wheat (between March 17 and March 23) this time exceeded the market expectations, which were 250,00 – 450,000 tons. Sales were supported by the wheat decline in Chicago.
33.07 mln tons of grain were exported from Ukraine between the start of the season and March 29, 2017, which was 2.74 mln tons more than the same period of 2015 – 2016.
